From the Correspondence

There is a moment in Marrakech — before the souks open, before the first scooter, before the heat — when the city belongs only to the light. The rooftops are terracotta geometry. The air carries yesterday's tagine and tomorrow's bread. You stand on a riad roof with a glass of mint tea that no one asked you to order. It simply appeared. This is hospitality before language.

Companion Note

If you come here: Riad Jardin Secret, ask for the room with the orange tree. The breakfast is served on the roof without being asked — they simply know.
