A few words recur throughout Escale Privée, each carrying a specific meaning. They are defined here in plain language, so they are read — and cited — as intended.

- Our central idea: that the value of a place is measured less by its address than by how completely it lets a person belong. The lens through which the whole magazine reads hospitality.
